Isabel maría is interested in the evolution of the contest of identity as seen from a post-modern perspective; in contemporary inhabitation as one of the major phenomena of today’s societies and, consequently, in her own experience as a missing person (pepas influenced by the extensive periods she has spent living in different countries). She also investigates how to modern society of information and communication transforms our minds, our memory and our recollection. In her project (audiovisual productions, sound tracks, photography…), this artist reflects the everyday reality of her immediate surrounding though a marriage of reality and fiction and their different levels of dialogue. Thus, from the point-of-view of a weak, broken individual, she advocates plurality and diversity in identity and promotes the existence of other discourses with a very personal sensibility and language.
